A deity from my story,
Brínnland. Here is Lund, the impersonation of Nature according to Brínnish folklore; mother of all life and beings.

Lund is actually not believed to look like anything. According to Brínnish lore and some reports, she seems to take different forms depending on the person to whom she reveals herself (though she looks like a human female in any case).
Those who live in forests would most likely see a tree-lady whose skin looks like bark, like in the picture above; people who dwell by the sea would see a maiden made of foam and swirling sand; the folks who reside in the mountains would see an elderly woman emerge from a rock wall, all covered of rough gemstones.

As the impersonation of Nature, Lund is believed to live through every being - fauna and flora alike -, to whom she is a protector. For centuries, humans have worshiped her with a mix of love, respect and fear, as her mood is thought to influence all natural elements. Brínnish people have therefore developed an ecological way of living that is both protective and respectful of their environment; for example, they've grown a habit of thanking Lund for what she offers to them, as well as apologizing to her whenever they need to cut a tree down, to kill an animal, in short: to destruct a natural element in any way. They fear she could bring a deadly storm or a bad harvest if they don't pay this simple, yet due respect.

Some people who call themselves witches claim they've grown able to connect with Lund, and even to ask favors from her, through their prayers and some specific rituals. However, none of their assertions were proven true.

I like your usage of colors, especially your usage of the color green. I also like how you did the bark and leaves. Great work!
